ADO Den Haag won the last game of the season 0-2 against Young AZ in Wijdewormer on Friday.

Young AZ has placed highest of all Young Eleven in the ranking of the Kitchen Champion Division. Before the game started it was in ninth place and ADO a few places lower.

Trainer Dick Advocaat had made 7 changes in his base in his last(?) match as a trainer compared to last week’s match at home against FC Dordrecht. One of them was goalkeeper Hugo Wentges who made his comeback after a long injury.

The trainer saw his team start the game well. ADO almost took the lead in the third minute, but Verheydt headed the ball just wide of the goal. ADO has not yet succeeded in taking advantage of the opportunities it received from a free kick and various corners. In the 32nd minute he outwitted keeper Sem Westerveld and scored his fourteenth goal of this season: 0-1.

A few minutes before the break, Mexx Meerdink had a huge chance to level the score, but luckily for ADO, Wentges’ goal remained clean.

Young AZ then put pressure on and ADO then got away well a few times and even managed to take a 0-2 lead after Zwarts made good use of the space and passed the Alkmaar keeper.
