Safari: a powerful browser that is probably the most used by many Mac users. Logical, because in addition to a pleasant operation, the browser distinguishes itself by many striking (and sometimes hidden) functionalities. This is one of the features.
Safari is the browser specially developed by Apple for your Mac. It is therefore also one of the best ways to surf the internet with your Apple device. A hidden function makes it even better, and this one is mainly intended for the dreamers among us.
Safari helps you against a well-known phenomenon
It’s happened to all of us: the Wikipedia syndrome. You search for something on the internet and via the one link you click, you stray terribly from the main subject. In fact, sometimes you don’t even know what that is anymore. Fortunately, Safari has the ideal function for this, so that you no longer get lost on your Mac.
Normally this is not a big deal, but if you were just doing something important and lost the starting point, this can be annoying. Especially if you get distracted while studying, for example. Fortunately, Safari has the solution for you that will take you back to the beginning on your Mac. Of course you can keep clicking back, but there is a simpler solution.
Much easier on your Mac
It can all be much easier on your Mac. To do this, go to the History tab that you see at the top when you have opened Safari. Then click on “SnapBack Search Results”. This function can also be used by Command-Option-S.
This will automatically take you to the first page where your far too long search in Safari started. For this it is important that you have stayed in the same tab, otherwise it will not work. The function does work if you start from a search engine such as Google or DuckDuckGo.
