Joey Litjens 14 years later: “I was really lucky and I am very grateful now”

On Thursday, May 21, 2009 (Ascension Day) Joey Litjens’ road racing career came to an abrupt end. The former 125cc Grand Prix rider crashed heavily during free practice at the Varsselring in Hengelo (GLD), with all the consequences that entailed. Rob Kamphuus and Rob van Gameren returned 14 years later with Litjens to the scene of the accident.
