Innovations come together in Treant’s new House of Connection

Treant Elderly Care joins forces in the field of innovation. Today the new House of Connection was opened for this purpose.

The House of Connection consists of various spaces to discover and test innovations: a living room, bedroom, bathroom, activity room, sensory room and team station.

Located in a care ward

‘As a care employee of Treant, you can become acquainted with innovations and innovations in the House of Connection,’ says project leader Thomas Hartgers. ‘The name says it all: as Treant, we use this to establish the connection between our locations, the various departments and support services such as ICT. We also involve schools, suppliers and other healthcare institutions in this.’

What is special is that the House of Connection is located in one of the PG departments (for people with dementia) of the Treant location Weidesteyn in Hoogeveen. ‘Health care employees can test something here with a colleague, get an explanation about an innovation from a supplier or try out an innovation together with a client.’

Innovation platform

The House of Connection is part of the Care Innovation Platform. This Innovation Platform consists of a group of enthusiastic colleagues from various Treant elderly care locations. By looking closely at the needs and also understanding what is needed, they help each other to deploy innovations in the right place. Together we ensure that care is organized better and smarter, for both the client and the employee.

With this, Treant continues to build on the future by organizing smartly, integrated and digitally.

I have specialized in interactive news for healthcare providers, so that healthcare providers are informed every day about the news that may be relevant to them. Both lay news and news specifically for healthcare providers and prescribers. Social Media, Womens Health, Patient advocacy, patient empowerment, personalized medicine & Care 2.0 and the social domain are spearheads for me to pay extra attention to.

I studied physiotherapy and Health Care business administration. I am also a registered independent client support worker and informal care broker. I have a lot of experience in various positions in healthcare, the social domain and the medical, pharmaceutical industry, nationally and internationally. And have broad medical knowledge of most healthcare specialties. And of the care laws from which the care is regulated and financed. Every year I attend most of the leading medical conferences in Europe and America to keep my knowledge up-to-date and to keep up with the latest developments and innovations. Currently I am doing a Masters in Applied Psychology.
