Heracles Almelo secured the title in the Kitchen Champion Division on Friday evening. The club would therefore make a festive tour of Almelo on Sunday, but after Saturday’s events in Yerseke in Zeeland, the club is refraining from doing so.
The club announced this through the official channels on Saturday evening. The decision is a response to a sad accident in Zeeland, where a five-year-old girl was killed on Saturday after she fell from an open-work truck. He was on his way to the local club in Yerseke to pay tribute to the Girls Under-15 team, which had become champions, for their achievement with a tour.

“Heracles Almelo sympathizes with the relatives. After consultation with the Municipality of Almelo and the transporter Bolk, we currently find it inappropriate to celebrate the championship achieved on the flat cart,” writes Heracles in a short statement.
However, selection and staff will be honored in the city center on Sunday for their performance this season. The club announces that the party on the Market Square will start at 4.30 pm. The selection arrives an hour later and will celebrate the return to the Eredivisie as champion of the second level with the crowd of supporters. The festivities are over by 8 p.m.
