‘Hallyu Town’ brings several K-pop artists to Brussels for free

Next month you can enjoy free concerts by various K-pop artists in Brussels. This is the first edition of Hallyu Towna new K-pop event hosted by Korean Culture Events.

Fans of K-pop should come to Brussels in the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June. You will be able to participate in the Brouckèreplein in the center of Brussels Hallyu Town. At that event you can enjoy various concerts by K-pop artists, but you can also soak up the culture of South Korea in other ways.

Hallyu Town

So on 17 and 18 June 2023 you can go to it for free Hallyu Townevent on Place Brouckère in Brussels. The so-called “Hallyu Wave” is central to the event. And that goes much further than just the popularity of K-pop music.

In addition to performances by South Korean artists, you will also be able to eat typical South Korean meals or play traditional Korean games. You will also find stands with Korean skincare and fashion.

Free concerts

During the day Hallyu Town you will therefore be able to enjoy performances by four K-pop artists completely free of charge. The first is the singer-songwriter Paul Kim. He was born in South Korea, but went to school in New Zealand and Japan before returning to Korea to start his musical career. He made his debut in 2014 and has been active for 9 years now.

The second name is the K-pop group OnlyOneOf. They made their debut as a seven-member boy group in 2019. Since then, they have gained attention for their unique and eye-catching video clips and performances, clearly demonstrating their support for the LGTBQ+ community. In August 2021 Love left the group and since then OnlyOneOf consists of six members.

The third group that you can see live at work in Brussels during the weekend of 17 and 18 June is CSR. It is about a girl group that made its debut last year. The group was unique then because all members were born in the same year, 2005. In the meantime they have already released several catchy songs.

The last group to perform is E Song. They are active in a completely different genre. They use traditional South Korean instruments and perform their own versions of well-known Korean folk songs.

For the time being, it is not yet clear which artist will be featured on which day.
