Claus-Casimir van Oranje opens up about private life

While older sister Eloise feels like a fish in water in the spotlight, it is slightly different with her younger brother Claus-Casimir. He says this in an interview with the Telegraph. He also opens up about his life in Paris and talks about the advantages and disadvantages of the family into which he was born; the Royal house.

Count of Orange-Nassau and Jonkheer van Amsberg, Claus-Casimir, is nineteen years old and the son of Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien. He is the only grandson of Beatrix and is sixth in line to the throne, right behind older sister Eloise. Since the chances are very slim that there is really a place on the throne for CC, he is preparing for a future as an entrepreneur with a study in Paris.

Although Eloise van Oranje has grown into a full-fledged celebrity as a countess influencer, her younger brother is not waiting for a life in the spotlight. “The whole showbiz world is not for me,” says Claus. “I leave that to my sister. He’s better at that,” he says. “I don’t really need questions about my private life.”

In the interview, Claus says that he is very grateful to his parents for everything they do for him. He also talks about the advantages and disadvantages of being a member of the royal family. As a positive side, he mentions the fact that he gets to know many “interesting and special” people. But he thinks there are also negative sides to it. “If I do something wrong, it not only has disadvantages for me, but also for my entire family,” he says. As a result, Claus is aware that he must always be careful with what he does or says.
