ChatGPT finally has an official app for the iPhone

OpenAI has released the official app for ChatGPT in the US. A release of the app in more countries will follow shortly, as will a version for Android. For now, the app is only available in the US.

Six months ago, OpenAI released the web version of the AI ​​chatbot. The official app is now available for iOS. For the time being, the iOS app can only be downloaded from the American Apple App Store.

According to the company, the app will be available for other countries in the coming weeks. It is not yet known which countries are involved. There will also be a version for Android soon.

Speech recognition app

Via the app it is possible to ask questions, there is also the possibility to give commands via speech recognition. This works via the Whisper speech recognition.

As with the web version, the improved GPT-4 AI model is available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. Paid subscribers will also get access to new features sooner and the app will run faster.
