The temperature is really rising now and summer is just around the corner. With the change of season and temperature, my facial skin always needs lighter and more fluid day creams. Creams that absorb quickly, are nourishing and moisturizing, but above all don’t put a layer on my face. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of lipedema is sweating and I suffer a lot from moist, warm air. It is therefore important to me that a cream fits well and does not curl with a little sweat. I therefore often use a fluid in the summer. Last year I discovered the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Glow Booster serum cream and it has really become a must have for me for the summer. Still, I sometimes want to opt for just a serum on the very hot days. I recently discovered the Garnier Skin Active Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera Hydrating Serum and decided to test it already. Secretly with the hope that it would be just as holy grail as the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Glow Booster serum cream. Wondering if I’m going to add this serum to my summer skin routine? Garnier Skin Active Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera Moisturizing Serum

My opinion

Unfortunately, I am not as enthusiastic about this serum as I am about the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Glow Booster serum cream. It is very user-friendly and easy to dose through the pipette, but that is the only positive thing about this serum for me. I find it very sticky and feel it on my skin for a long time after application. I also feel that my skin feels sticky. It’s like having glue on your skin that you’re going to pull off at some point, like you do with glue on your fingers. I don’t feel it absorbs, refreshes or hydrates very quickly. Whether it gives my skin a brighter and healthier glow, that could very well be, but it is also possible that this is because I have been in the sun more with my face. The most important thing for me is how the product feels and that is immediately a letdown with this serum. Unfortunately, this is not a holy grail in my summer facial routine. Fortunately, I bought this serum during a promotion, so it doesn’t hurt my wallet too much.
