AZ has received its first summer acquisition. 21-year-old left back David Möller Wolfe makes the switch from SK Brann and signed for five years in Alkmaar. The number four in the Eredivisie reportedly pays 2.6 million for the purchase.
Alkmaarders capture Möller Wolfe
Despite his young age, the Norwegian has already gained a lot of experience in his own country. The left leg has already played 63 duels for SK Brann at the highest level. In addition, he made his debut for the national youth team of Norway in March.
Football affairs director Max Huiberts explains why Möller Wolfe was an interesting option for AZ. “As soon as such a great option comes our way, we shouldn’t wait too long. That does not mean that a player is already gone. In any case, we want to have every position filled with good quality, which creates a healthy competition,” it said on the club site.
With the acquisition of Möller Wolfe, AZ is preparing for a possible departure of Milos Kerkez. The Hungarian defender confirmed on Sunday that there is a lot of interest in him, and that AZ has already spoken to several clubs. The 19-year-old back in turn made Owen Wijndal forget in the AFAS Stadium.
