In the weekend from 23 to 25 June, the TT Circuit Assen will be completely dedicated to the Dutch TT, the ninth round of the 2023 FIM MotoGP World Championship. The TT Circuit Assen and Dorna have now released the full timetable, which can be found below.
With the arrival of the MotoGP Sprint, a MotoGP race held on Saturday afternoon over half a distance from the main race on Sunday, Dorna has opted for a completely different format during a Grand Prix weekend compared to previous years.
Not only is the time schedule different, the training sessions for the Moto2 and Moto3 drivers are shorter, but we also see only one warm-up session on Sunday for the MotoGP category. The drivers from the FIM Enel MotoE World Championship also only compete on Friday and Saturday during a Grand Prix weekend, while a Rider Fan Parade is part of the program on Sunday morning and MotoGP has always been held as the last race since this season on Sunday .
However, it is striking during the Dutch TT that there is a deviation from the new format on Sunday. Normally the second Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup race is scheduled early on Sunday morning, but in Assen it will be held at 3:30 PM, so only after the MotoGP race.
