After already winning the opening stage in the Tour of Burgos yesterday, Lorena Wiebes came first again today on a climb in the center of Lerma, after a hilly stage of 118 kilometers.
Afterwards, however, the Dutch top sprinter was put back to third place by the competition jury. The reason: Wiebes pushed the American Chloe Dygert (Canyon//SRAM Racing) in the jumping preparation.

The victory logically went to the number two, Demi Vollering, and so the best formation from the women’s peloton could triumph again even after a declassification. Dygert was second. For Vollering it is already her 10th victory this season.
Wiebes will keep her leader’s jersey. Shirin van Anrooij (Trek-Segafredo) finished sixth and leads the young rider classification. Tomorrow’s stage is one for the sprinters. The final stage finishes on top of Lagunas de Neila, a very tough climb out of category.
